Above Ground Pool Heaters

Above ground pool heaters  are an efficient way to keep your pool warm all year round, and to make sure that you have warm pool water in the evenings.  An important factor to consider when buying above ground pool heaters is the total time needed to heat up the pool.  You'll want a larger, fast heating model if you intend to heat up the pool only as and when you want to use it.  A smaller, less powerful model is fine when you don't mind keeping it running to maintain the pool at your desired temperature.

Now if you want to really extend your swim season with above ground pool heaters  then you need the solar heater for during the day and either an electric or gas heater for at night.  Doing this will allow you to heat your water all day and night and will allow you to extend your swimming season until the first snow fall.  Water is heated by the thermal differences between the air and water temperatures and by the radiated energy from the sun.  Pool heaters supplement these natural energy providers by providing an additional energy source to heat the water when ambient temperatures are lower and the sun's angles are oblique to the pool.

The solar powered pool heater is obviously cheaper to purchase and sustain given that these run on natural energy straight from the sun.  Some of the above ground pool heaters are electrically powered although the solar powered pools are becoming the most popular feature in the modern dispensation characterized by high levels of environmental awareness.
